![]() Help! My daughter is sound asleep right now but I’m wide awake worrying about this. But I also don’t know if it’s also still too big for her. I bought the Merlin sleep sack but it’s so big I’m nervous. I’ve tried the Nested bean sleep sack and the Burt’s bees. Now that he’s bigger I’m nervous he’s going to roll over in his sleep which is a big no no for the sleep suit. I’m drawn to the Merlin because it would prevent rolling (so afraid of her rolling and getting stuck in her sleep) and calm the Moro reflex. Once he was able to fit into the Merlin magic sleepsuit he suddenly slept great. But I’m hoping someone can chime in on this. Well all of these transitions took a whole year for usso we used a swaddle for three months then a swaddle with one arm out for a couple months then the Merlin suit in a small size for three months then the large size for a month or two then finally a sleep sack around 9 months. I figure if we are swaddling arms out, tightness isn’t as much of an issue. ![]() But reviews I read say it’s hard to get it tight enough, and my girl is so tiny. I’m especially drawn to the Nested Zen Swaddle for the weighted chest, since placing a hand on her chest is super effective for us to soothe her back to sleep when she wakes up. How does the current Halo we’re using now compare to the above? Particularly the Love to Dream and the Nested Zen? Is there even a point to buy another product when it’ll do the same thing as the Halo? My LO is only 4 months, so I’ll probably start in a month or two. I haven’t tried it yet, but my plan was to do the legs for a week then take off the arms for a week and then switch to a regular sleep sack. But at the same time, I want to make this transition as smooth as possible because we’re all so tired here, including the baby. It looks like the Merlin, but you can zip the legs together to make it a sack and detach the arms. She is only 11 lbs and about 22 inches, which is an issue with many transition products because they seem to be made for bigger babies. Made from toxin free breathable 100 cotton, it’s fully machine washable, soft, comfy and incredibly safe. I kept him in the Merlin for naps for about 2 weeks after the nighttime switch. He was sleeping in 7 hour chunks in it before his sleep regression, the transition to a sleep sack (with Ferber) went better then I expected. Used it for about 6 weeks before and through the 4 month regression. We currently use the Halo swaddle sack where you can let the arms loose to transition. The best choice out of every sleep sack we’ve looked at, the Nested Bean Zen Sack is absolutely our favorite. Dreamland Baby specializes in doctor-approved weighted sleep solutions for infants and children, promoting safe sleep for healthy and happy families. We loved the Merlin as a swaddle transition. I’m stressing so much right now since my daughter is right in the middle of the 3-4 month sleep regression, and she’s now starting to roll on her side, so we have to stop swaddling really really soon.
